Profound Raises $96M Series C at $1B Valuation

Profound, a New York–based marketing platform designed for the AI era, has raised $96 million in a Series C round at a $1 billion valuation.

The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Sequoia Capital, Kleiner Perkins, Saga VC, South Park Commons, and Evantic, bringing total funding to more than $155 million.

Lightspeed Venture Partners is a global, multi-stage venture capital firm managing over $40 billion in assets under management (AUM). With a presence in the U.S., Europe, India, Israel, and Southeast Asia, the firm has backed more than 1,000 companies. Lightspeed focuses on accelerating disruptive innovations in the enterprise, consumer, health, and fintech sectors.

The funding will accelerate platform development, expand the customer base, and scale the adoption of autonomous Profound Agents across enterprises.

Led by CEO James Cadwallader, Profound is a marketing platform purpose-built to track brand visibility, sentiment, and performance across AI answer engines. It combines analytics, autonomous content generation, and execution through customizable Profound Agents. These agents handle content creation, campaign execution, monitoring AI trends, PR, FAQs, and more. Profound is already used by more than 700 enterprises, including Target, Figma, Walmart, Ramp, MongoDB, Chime, and U.S. Bank.
