Pype AI Raises $1.2 Million in Funding

Pype AI, a Bengaluru, India-based health tech startup creating AI systems for hospital communication, has raised $1.2 million in a pre-Seed funding round.

The round was led by Kalaari Capital, with participation from Wyser Capital and Tenity.

Kalaari Capital, a Bengaluru-based venture capital firm, focuses on investing in early-stage, technology-driven companies. Founded in 2006, it is committed to empowering visionary entrepreneurs who are building unique, disruptive solutions that reshape the way Indians live, work, consume, and transact. The firm invests across sectors, including technology, mobile, healthcare, e-commerce, and media.

The funding will be used to strengthen Pype AI’s research-driven communication platform and expand its presence in the US healthcare market.

Founded in 2024 by Dhruv Mehra and Ashish Tripathy, Pype AI develops AI-powered voice agents to automate patient interactions for healthcare organizations. Its agents handle appointment scheduling, follow-up reminders, treatment guidance, and 24/7 support. Pype AI also operates Whispey, an open-source observability platform with nearly 40 safety, compliance, and performance evaluations. Headquartered in Bengaluru, India, the company is working on integrations with Zocdoc, Epic, and Cerner, and aims to serve more than fifty hospitals and clinic chains by mid-2026.
