QuTwo Raises €25M Pre-seed

QuTwo, a Finnish AI lab, is building an orchestration layer that directs tasks to classical, quantum, or hybrid architectures, focusing on enterprise AI. The company recently raised a €25 million angel round, which is its first external funding, valuing it at approximately $380 million.

This angel round included participation from Yuri Milner, Xavier Niel, Nico Rosberg, Dieter Schwarz, and Niklas Zennström. The round also saw investment from numerous startup founders from companies such as Hugging Space, Legora, Miro, Skype, Supercell, and Wolt.

The newly secured capital will enable QuTwo to pursue its roadmap under less pressure and support its growth initiatives. The company plans to leverage the angel investors to open doors across Europe, further expand its operations, which recently included an expansion into Sweden, and continue hiring. The funding will also support QuTwo in driving ambitious R&D moon shots in Europe.

QuTwo was founded by Peter Sarlin, who serves as its executive chairman. The company's mission is to build the globally leading AI company for the next paradigm, particularly for Europe. Its core product, QuTwo OS, is an orchestration layer that directs tasks to classical, quantum, or hybrid architectures. QuTwo focuses on enterprise use cases, often leveraging “quantum-inspired” computing, which uses classical chips to simulate quantum behavior on more reliable hardware.
