Rapidata.ai Raises $8.5M Seed Round

Rapidata.ai, a Zurich, Switzerland-based AI infrastructure company, has raised $8.5 million in Seed funding.

The round was co-led by Canaan Partners and IA Ventures, with participation from Acequia Capital and BlueYard.

Canaan Partners is a venture capital firm headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, with major offices in Menlo Park, San Francisco, New York, and Tel Aviv. Managing approximately $6.8 billion in assets, the firm focuses on early-stage investments from Seed to Series A across technology and healthcare sectors.

IA Ventures is a New York-based seed-stage venture capital firm investing in software businesses ahead of product market fit. The firm invests in seed and Series A startups, focusing on companies leveraging data, software, and analytics. Founded in 2010, IA Ventures has backed over 100 startups across sectors such as fintech, AI, and enterprise software, helping founders scale data-driven businesses from the early stages.

The funding will be used to scale Rapidata’s global human data network and support growing demand from AI companies that require faster, more reliable feedback to train, validate, and improve their models in an increasingly competitive market.
