Redactive AI Raises $7.5 Million in Seed Round

Redactive AI, an Australia-based artificial intelligence engineering and security development startup, has raised $7.5 million in seed funding.

The round was led by Felicis Ventures and Blackbird Ventures, with participation from Atlassian Ventures and Zapier.

Founded in 2006, Felicis is a venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, California, investing across industries and stages. They support founders building iconic companies, having backed over 40 companies valued at $1B+ and over 90 that have been acquired or gone public.

Blackbird is a venture capital fund in Australia and New Zealand, investing in diverse technologies with ambitious goals. They manage over $7 billion and have a portfolio of over 100 successful startups.

The company will use the funds to expand its team, enhance marketing efforts, and venture into the U.S. market.

Founded in 2023 by Andrew Pankevicius and Alexander Valente, Redactive is building a developer platform to address AI engineering and security challenges in enterprise software teams. Their platform simplifies the creation of secure, permissions-aware generative AI agents and applications.
