Reken Raises $10M Seed
Reken, a cybersecurity startup based in the United States, has emerged from stealth mode with a $10 million seed funding round. The company specializes in on-device AI security platforms designed to protect users against AI-powered phishing, deepfakes, and other forms of digital fraud.
The funding round was backed by venture firms Greycroft and FPV Ventures.
The company plans to use the new capital to scale the development of its Reken Private Core platform and its flagship phishing-and-fraud defense tool, Northstar, which operates directly on user devices to maintain privacy and security.
Founded in 2024 by Shuman Ghosemajumder and Rich Griffiths, Reken aims to address the collapse of trust in online communication. The company provides a system of small, proprietary AI models that function on individual hardware, eliminating the need to transmit data to the cloud for security analysis.
