RiskFront Lab Secures $3M Seed Funding

RiskFront Lab Inc., a mobile app security company focused on post-build runtime protection, has closed a $3 million seed funding round to accelerate development of its Android and iOS application defense platform. The company, led by CEO Tomas Brown, helps mobile teams protect finished app packages against tampering, instrumentation, compromised devices, network abuse, modified builds, and other runtime threats after the build is ready for release.

This funding round included MANTIS Venture Capital, Sequoia Capital, Original Capital, and Next Play Ventures.

RiskFront Lab plans to use the new capital to expand its runtime defense capabilities, strengthen AI-assisted threat review and evidence drafting, and support integrations with mobile build pipelines, security operations, ticketing systems, artifact stores, and release handoff workflows. The company is targeting high-risk mobile sectors including banking, fintech, healthcare, commerce, media, gaming, and enterprise applications.

RiskFront Lab's platform applies protection around the mobile release artifact rather than requiring product teams to rebuild application features around a security SDK. Its workflow helps security and mobile teams attach policies to Android and iOS builds, monitor events such as hooking, debugging, certificate bypass attempts, rooted or jailbroken device state, modified packages, screen capture risk, and suspicious automation, and route evidence to AppSec, risk, support, fraud, or audit teams.
