Runnr.ai Raises €1 Million in Funding
Runnr.ai, an Utrecht, Netherlands-based conversational guest engagement automated messaging startup, has raised €1 million in funding.
The round was led by Arches Capital, with participation from Golden Egg Check, and angel investors Roland Zeller, Marnix van der Ploeg, and Hans Pieters.
Founded in 2018, Arches Capital is an angel group based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The firm seeks to invest in financial technology, data science, commerce, cybersecurity, medical technology, and software sectors.
The company will use the funds will be used for product development and expanding operations in the Netherlands, Benelux, the UK, and Germany in 2024, with plans for further expansion in Europe and other continents in the following years. The company aims to become the international market leader in automated customer service in hospitality.
Founded by industry veterans Michiel de Vor, Maarten Fugers, and Steven Oliemans, Runnr.ai has developed software that enables hotels to automate communication with guests, leading to increased engagement, operational time savings, and additional turnover through upselling. Since its founding in November 2022, Runnr.ai has generated more than 100 hotels using its customer engagement technology, answering more than 60,000 unique questions from guests every month.
