Scaler Raises $10 Million in Series A

Scaler, an Amsterdam and New York-based company helping real estate investors measure and reduce the carbon footprint of their assets, has raised $10 million in Series A funding round.

The round was led by Plural, with participation from previous investor Base10.

Plural is an early-stage investment fund that backs the most ambitious founders on a mission to change the world through technology. Based in Tallinn, Estonia, and London, UK, Plural aims to have a GDP-level impact on Europe, address systemic risks, and reduce the opportunity gap worldwide through the companies it backs.

The company will use the funds to develop the product further, grow the engineering team, and expand to new markets beyond Europe.

Founded in 2021 by Zlatan Menkovic and Luc van de Boom, Scaler provides real estate investors and asset managers with granular data and insights from building-level to meter-level. The platform allows the modeling of decisions' impacts across portfolios, generating reports for regulatory compliance. It's designed for specialists and non-specialists alike, including CFOs, sustainability leads, and property managers. Currently serving 30 customers managing over $350B, Scaler has collectively planned $840M in improvements through its platform.
