Seltz Raises $12.5M Seed

Seltz, a San Francisco-based startup building a specialized search engine for AI agents, has raised $12.5 million in seed funding. The company aims to provide machine-ready web search data for AI applications.

The round was co-led by Speedinvest and B Capital. Additional participation came from Italian Founders Fund, United Ventures, and Future Back Ventures.

Seltz plans to use the new capital to continue the development of its search infrastructure, expand its team through hiring, and launch its enterprise sales efforts.

Founded in 2025 by CEO Antonio Mallia, Seltz develops a proprietary search stack, including a web crawler, index, and retrieval models, specifically designed for AI agents that require precise data extraction rather than traditional keyword-based results.
