Spense Raises $2.8M Seed
Spense, a banking infrastructure startup based in India, has raised $2.8 million in a seed funding round. The company focuses on developing AI-powered credit infrastructure that enables financial institutions to offer credit products backed by customer assets such as mutual funds and equities.
The round was led by Arkam Ventures, with participation from Razorpay Ventures, GrowthCap Ventures, Atrium Ventures, Kunal Shah, and Madhusudhan E.
Spense plans to use the new capital to deepen existing banking partnerships, accelerate product development, and expand its engineering and go-to-market teams. Additionally, the funding will support the launch of Credit Line on UPI and the further development of its AI-powered credit infrastructure.
Founded in 2026 by Pawan Kumar and Srinivas Krishnamurthy, Spense provides banking infrastructure that allows financial institutions to launch credit cards and credit lines backed by assets. Its platform utilizes agentic AI to automate processes such as onboarding, customer support, and collections.
