Taxnova Raises $1 Million in Funding

Taxnova, a London, UK-based startup that automates R&D tax credits for tech companies, has emerged from stealth with $1 million in pre-Seed funding.

The round includes backing from a16z Speedrun, Karaoke Club, and over 20 operators from technology companies. Taxnova has also entered a16z’s accelerator programme.

The company will use the funding to further develop its platform and expand partnerships with tax advisory firms.

Founded by George Nichkov and Marya Malykh, Taxnova is a taxtech company that helps technology companies speed up and legitimately maximise their R&D tax claims using AI. By integrating directly with tools such as GitHub, Jira, Slack, and Notion, the platform identifies qualifying R&D work, generates technical narratives, calculates eligible costs, and produces audit-ready documentation without disrupting engineering teams. Headquartered in London, United Kingdom, Taxnova supports multi-region companies across jurisdictions, including the UK and the US.
