Thira Raises $21M Seed

Thira, based in Bellevue, Washington, is an enterprise software company developing an agentic execution system designed to automate back-office workflows using self-learning AI. The company has announced a $21 million seed funding round to support its mission of building a self-operating back-office for enterprise IT processes.

This round was led by Madrona, a venture capital firm with a history of partnering with the company's founders. Additional participation included FUSE and a group of prominent global advisors and CIOs.

Thira intends to use the capital to expand its engineering team and deepen collaboration with design partners as it prepares for a broader launch in the fall of 2026.

Founded by Apptio co-founders Sunny Gupta and Kurt Shintaffer, Thira is building a secure, AI-powered system of execution. The platform utilizes self-learning agents, enterprise-grade governance, and an enterprise knowledge graph to automate complex, repetitive operational processes across existing enterprise systems.
