Timefold Raises €6 Million in Funding
Timefold, a Ghent, Belgium-based AI software startup specializing in planning optimization, has raised €6 million in funding.
The investment came from Lakestar and Smartfin.
Lakestar is a venture capital firm based in Zurich, Switzerland, investing from Seed to Growth stages in visionary tech entrepreneurs worldwide. Founded in 2012, the firm focuses on deep technology, digitalization & AI, financial technology, and healthcare sectors.
Smartfin is a European private equity fund targeting growth technology companies. It invests between EUR 0.5 million and EUR 25 million per company. Smartfin supports its portfolio companies in scaling and achieving international success.
The funding will accelerate the development and commercialization of Timefold’s AI-powered planning optimization platform.
Founded by Maarten Vandenbroucke and Geoffrey De Smet, Timefold offers AI-powered planning optimization software. Its flagship product, the PlanningAI platform, addresses complex scheduling and planning challenges across various sectors, including businesses and government entities.
