Tomo Raises $5M Seed

Tomo, a San Francisco-based personal AI platform that delivers coaching and habit-tracking services via text messages, has raised $5 million in a seed funding round. The company, which recently emerged from stealth, has already attracted over 10,000 paying subscribers.

The funding round was led by Bain Capital Ventures (BCV), with participation from Accel, Align Fund, Basis Set, Conviction, Pear VC, and various angel investors.

Tomo plans to utilize the new capital to grow its internal team and expand the features of its recently launched companion application.

Founded by Justin Quan and Raymond Chen, Tomo is a consumer-focused AI service that functions as a personal champion. The platform integrates with text messaging, email, calendars, and productivity tools like Notion to help users track habits, manage finances, and achieve long-term personal goals through personalized, evolving software interfaces.
