Treefera Raises $12 Million in Series A

Treefera, a London, UK-based AI-enabled data management platform focusing on nature-based asset reporting, has raised $12 million in Series A funding.

The round was led by AlbionVC.

AlbionVC supports visionary founders with long-term capital and scale-up expertise. Founded in 1996, today they are partners to UK early-stage B2B software and healthcare companies. The firm manages approximately $1 billion of venture funds, currently invested in over 50 companies.

With this funding, Treefera plans to enhance platform capabilities, expand globally, and solidify its position in the nature-based asset data landscape.

Founded by Jonathan Horn and Caroline Grey, Treefera has developed an AI-enabled data management platform for all nature-based assets. By integrating satellite, drone, and ground truth data with AI algorithms, Treefera offers real-time monitoring and assurance for commodities' provenance, deforestation risk, carbon credits, and supply chain sustainability. Their platform covers jurisdictions, and 500+ forest projects, and integrates with client analytics through an API. Its mission is to catalyze positive change by offering innovative, data-driven AI-powered solutions that bridge the gap between good intentions and tangible impact.
