Tyred Raises £2.5M in Funding
London-based Tyred, a startup that provides an AI-powered connected bike ownership platform, has raised £2.5 million in funding. The company, which offers predictive maintenance, insurance, warranties, and finance services for bicycles, plans to use the new capital to fuel its growth.
The funding round was led by Raw Ventures and Ada Ventures. Participating angel investors included Anton Buzdalin.
The company plans to use the capital to hire new engineering talent, accelerate product development, and expand its platform across the UK in preparation for a broader push into European markets.
Founded in 2022 by Lancelot Hoare, Nikita Baranov, and Daniel Bursztynski, Tyred began as a mobile bike repair service before evolving into a connected ownership platform. The company utilizes IoT sensors and AI to provide predictive maintenance insights for both individual cyclists and fleet operators.
