Velocity Raises $38M Series A

Velocity, headquartered in London, is a stablecoin treasury and settlement platform designed to help global enterprises, payment providers, and financial institutions modernize their financial infrastructure. The company has announced the closing of a $38 million Series A funding round, bringing its total capital raised to nearly $50 million since its founding in 2025.

The funding round was led by Dragonfly and FirstMark. Additional participating investors include Activant Capital, Capital One Ventures, QED Investors, Coinbase Ventures, Wintermute Ventures, and Ripple.

Velocity plans to use the new capital to expand its global banking and payments network, accelerate the development of its product suite, strengthen its regulatory and compliance capabilities, and support the increasing demand from enterprises adopting stablecoin-powered treasury systems.

Founded in 2025 by CEO Eric Queathem, Velocity provides a platform that integrates stablecoin infrastructure with traditional banking rails. The company mission is to enable finance teams to improve liquidity management, reduce settlement times, and eliminate prefunding requirements by embedding stablecoin capabilities into existing corporate treasury workflows.
