Wonderdog Raises $5M Pre-seed
Wonderdog, a Hermosa Beach, California-based developer of an AI-powered canine preventive health and at-home diagnostic platform, has raised $5 million in pre-seed funding. The company, which is launching out of stealth mode, utilizes proprietary software to monitor biomarker data for canine health diagnostics.
The round was co-led by WndrCo and Maveron, with strategic participation from technology executives including Jeffrey Katzenberg.
Wonderdog intends to use the capital to scale its at-home veterinary technician network, accelerate product engineering for its mobile platform, and fund geographic market expansion into Phoenix, Arizona and Miami, Florida.
Founded by Jeff Safenowitz and Patrick Riley, alongside Chief Medical Officer Dr. Evan Antin, Wonderdog provides a subscription-based health intelligence platform. The system uses its Spark AI companion to cross-reference laboratory results with electronic medical histories to detect diseases in canine patients.
