Worldmodeldata Raises £7M Seed Round
Worldmodeldata, a Cambridge-based startup developing large-scale AI training datasets from video game environments, has emerged from stealth with £7 million in seed funding.
The funding round was led by Iona Star Capital, a London-based venture capital firm focused on early-stage AI, data, and technology companies.
The funding will support product development, team expansion, and the acquisition of data-sourcing agreements to grow its AI training data library to one million hours by the end of 2026.
Led by CEO Rhea Loucas, Worldmodeldata is an AI data infrastructure company building large-scale training datasets for next-generation AI world models. The company aggregates and structures licensed gameplay data from video games built on engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity, creating action-conditioned datasets for developers of physical AI, robotics, autonomous systems, and frontier AI models.
