Yellow, a Palo Alto, CA-based startup that provides a Gen AI-powered 3D modeling tool, has raised $5 million in seed funding.
The investment came from A16z Games.
A16z Games is a venture capital firm that focuses on investing in games and technology companies that are reinventing the future of game development with generative AI.
The company will utilize the funding to enhance its YellowSculpt tool, which enables artists to generate clean, pre-rigged 3D character meshes based on a text prompt in under three minutes. Yellow aims to expand its capabilities to include generating fantasy characters and lifelike expressions and motion. Additionally, the company plans to investigate creating immersive 3D environments where these characters can interact.
