OpenFX Raises $94M Series A

OpenFX, a New York-based financial infrastructure company specializing in cross-border money movement, has announced it raised $94 million in a Series A funding round. The company provides a platform that connects traditional banking systems with digital-native infrastructure, utilizing stablecoins to facilitate near-instant foreign exchange and settlement for institutional clients.

The funding round led by Accel, Atomico, Lightspeed Faction, M13, Northzone, and Pantera Capital.

OpenFX plans to utilize the Series A capital to support its expansion into key Southeast Asian markets, including integration with regional payment systems such as India's UPI, Singapore's PayNow, and Thailand's PromptPay. Additionally, the company will deepen its presence in Latin American corridors to support increased demand for its local currency trading pairs.

Founded in 2024 by Prabhakar Reddy, OpenFX provides institutional-grade liquidity and settlement infrastructure for the global economy. The platform enables fintech companies, neobanks, and global payroll providers to execute cross-border settlements with improved speed and lower costs compared to traditional legacy banking rails.
